AFRICA: ANGOLA: ARCHBISHOP CALLS FOR BUILDING OF A PEACEFUL SOCIETY

ALL AFRICA REPORT: The archbishop of the Huambo diocese, Dom José de Queirós Alvs, on Saturday here urged catholic devotees to be committed to building a society of peace, with the intention of showing solidarity and progress, ANGOP has learnt.

Speaking during a midnight mass that gathered over 3,000 devotees, Dom José Alves also said that the construction of a peaceful society will be sign of mutual support, forgiveness and continuous reconciliation.

"As pastors during the Christmas evening, we are called to build this world and witness this new life that we have found in the Lord. Announcing the good news is to commit ourselves to the construction of a society where the peace of Christ is a reality", he said.
